Gem is a very intelligent and confident mare who actively seeks human company. She loves to rest her head on your shoulder for a cuddle! She is the Kingmaker herd leader.
Gem has excellent conformation, flashy paces and plenty of spirit. These qualities enabled her to achieve show success in both Dales classes and mixed Mountain & Moorland classes with her breeders Ian & Norma Thomson of the Manorian Stud in County Durham.
Gem was the Dales Pony Society Reserve Youngstock Points Champion in 2002, and went one better the following year to take the Championship title.
Gem's sire, Waterside William II, has won numerous in-hand & ridden championships. Her full sister, Manorian Mischief, has achieved out-standing show success, being the Ponies UK Supreme Mountain & Moorland Champion three years running and an Olympia qualifier.
