Ziggy left for his new home in the UK on Wednesday morning with our favourite french transporter Rolling Horse. 40 hours later his full-sister stepped out of the returning box!
Welcome home to France Calissi de Kingmaker, rising 3 year old bay roan Dales filly.
Calissi had been sold to a lovely new home in Kent after weaning, but due to a change in her owner's circumstances which meant she was unlikely to be bred from, we have bought her back to join our broodmare herd.
Plans are for Calissi to be broken to ride over the Winter of 2015-2016, then covered by our black stallion Thornville Pride in Spring 2016 when she is 4 years old.
Calissi has settled straight back in to life as a Kingmaker pony. She has renewed the bond with her mother Becky who was delighted to see her again, and she has made several new friends in the youngstock herd.

As a young foal, Calissi earned the nickname Tiny Clanger, due in part to her "pink" colouration, her insatiable curiosity, and her tendency to squeal excitedly when she engaged in new adventures. Within a few hours of returning to France she was happily re-investigating her old haunts. It seems that the nosey, amusing Clanger mentality is still alive and well.....
